One of my favorite tv sitcoms on CBS may have “jumped the shark” with a recent episode featuring Britney Spears. Sadly it was the most watched episode of this season, and probably of the show’s history. Neal Patrick Harris or otherwise known as Doogie Howser, M.D. had this to say (what Doogie said). I agree, but I think Doogie was forced to say that or be kicked off the show. Of course, relating back to my jumping the shark comment, he is the Fonzie of the show, without him the show would suck.
Maybe they didn’t jump the shark for sure, (meaning they have not hit their peak) but they were pushing it to the edge with bringing Britney Spears on the show. The episode was funny but the secretary could have been played by anyone or anyone other Britney.
The show is actually unique since when they finally do explain how he did finally meet his kids mother the show is over. The question is how long do those poor kids have to sit on a couch listening to their dad tell inappropriate stories about his youth.?
