Google played a very funny trick on it’s users of Gmail. I am exposing this to the people who might not figure it out, like I did (after trying to use this new feature) then realizing what an idiot I was. Like all of the new features from Google, at first I don’t get it, and then it becomes the most important feature of gmail. Well, this would be the best feature ever, too bad it doesn’t exist, at least in this dimension, maybe in a parallel universe it does.I really like the e-flux capacitor that explains how this feature works.
Very funny Google

Old school computing

Imagine, having a computer that you can hold on your lap and send the information to another place electronically. Okay, you are probably wondering what I’m talking about, but in the 1970s and early 80s that was a really great idea and something that wasn’t really possible, until Toshiba, yes those guys came out with the TRS 80 model 100 computer. It was sold at Radio Shack. Honestly, I never saw one in person, but I have seen pictures of them. My brothers had similar primitive computers, that did about just as much as this thing. The reason I’m still talking about the model 100 is that some people still try to use them today, including me, I am thinking about getting one of those old guys, but I probably won’t. I heard about the resurgence, or at least that’s what I think of it, of the model 100 on the Leo Laporte, The Tech Guy podcast. Some guy named Rick is trying to keep them alive, why I don’t know.

Happy April Fools Day

Okay, so it’s not exactly April Fools Day yet, but it is somewhere on this planet already.
I hope I don’t fall victim to any April Fools pranks tomorrow, but I am sure I will. I don’t really think I will pull any, but why would I let the world know that in my blog. Although, of all the places to let people know this is a safe place, since I really don’t have that many people reading my blog, nor does anyone I know read my blog. I had a few fans awhile back, but I think my family/friends thinks I’m nuts for writing a blog. For me, it’s just fun and I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t have a blog. I started to get into Twitter a little more know than my blog, I need to keep both up but that pesky real world obligations have hampere my time wasting on all the many websites that I have subscribed to update on a regular basis.
